On the Home Page The Files backed up bar shows a quick overview of how well your files are backed up. A green tick means all your files are backed up.

This shows you how many of your files are backed up at to at least one Buddy. (BuddyBackup can optionally save several copies of your files amongst your buddies for extra protection).

If you press the More... link you can see more details.

In this expanded view, you can see several new bits of information:

  • Files backed up to X buddies: Shows you how many files are backed up to the desired number of buddies (e.g. 2, 3 or 4 buddies).

By default, BuddyBackup will make two backup copies of your files amongst your buddies.

You can change this behaviour as follows:

    1. In the Menu at the top of BuddyBackup click on Tools
    2. Click Options
    3. Move the slider to change the number of copies

  • Files in need of backup shows some of the files which still need backing up (to at least 1 buddy). Only the first 100 files are shown.

If you want more detailed information about which files are backed up, click on the Backup Status tab.

  • Press Hide to minimise this view
